Electives


Valley View offers students a wide variety of elective classes. Electives meet for 30 minutes per day, Tuesday-Thursday and happen after lunch during our 6th and 7th periods. Students are able to participate in two elective classes per year, each elective class is a half year course. Students receive academic credit for these courses.

Here is a list of electives we have offered during the past couple of years: 3D design, Canine Science and Care, Fitness, STEM, Painting, Political Science, Health, Physical Education, Art, Documentaries, Meteorology, Astronomy, In the News (current events) and Reading.

Clubs

Valley View offers students a wide variety of clubs to choose from each quarter. These clubs are created by the teachers and meet each Monday for one hour. Students are able to participate in four clubs per year, each running for an eight week period. Clubs offer the opportunity for teachers to engage with our students in an interactive, relaxed, and fun way.

Here is a list of clubs we have offered during the past couple of years: Swimming, Soccer Skills, Basketball Skills, Photography, Crafts, Library, Woodcarving, Microbiology, Brain Games, Cooking, Mythology, TED Talk, Excercise, Gardening, Dog Training, Creative Arts, Landscaping, Automotive, Knitting, Wilderness Skills
