Community Service
Students are encouraged to participate in Community Service activities and are acknowledged for their contributions on a monthly basis, as well as during the annual Community Service Banquet and at the end-of- year graduation awards. Community Service hours are documented and become a great addition to a student’s résumé as well as on applications for schools and jobs. Projects include distributing food to homeless shelters, volunteering at local senior centers, recycling efforts, helping to set up local blood donations, working at animal rescue shelters, working with local youth at the elementary school, and helping local elderly residents with yard work, snow removal, etc.
