Jessica Roy, LPN
School Nurse

Jessica Roy joined Valley View School in 2020 as a Licensed Practical Nurse, bringing with her a deep commitment to supporting the health and well-being of students. She was drawn to nursing out of a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, and she finds the most fulfillment in supporting others through both challenging and joyful moments.

Jessica completed the Licensed Practical Nursing program at Quinsigamond Community College in 2009. She began her work at Valley View in a per diem role during the pandemic, and what started as a temporary position quickly grew into a long-term commitment. In 2022, she transitioned into a full-time nurse role, becoming an integral part of the school’s health services team.

Prior to joining Valley View, Jessica spent sixteen years working in long-term care, where she developed a strong foundation in patient care. That experience continues to inform the compassionate, student-centered approach she brings to her work each day. She values the variety of her role and appreciates that no two days are ever the same, as each student presents unique needs and circumstances.

Jessica lives locally with her husband and their four teenage children and has strong roots in the community, having grown up just fifteen minutes from campus. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, spending time outdoors, and is proudly involved in the school’s chicken committee, which is very much a real thing.
