Learning to Contribute
and Lead

Responsibility Creates a Sense of Purpose

At Valley View, boys are given daily opportunities to contribute through service and leadership. They learn that their actions matter and that they can have a positive impact within their community.

Leadership is part of everyday life. Over time, these experiences help students strengthen identity, accountability, and pride in what they accomplish.

Growing as Leaders
and Community Members

Serving Others, Strengthening Self

Students take part in ongoing service projects that benefit the wider community and build empathy, teamwork, and a sense of purpose.

Projects may include:

● Volunteering at food banks or senior centers

● Supporting animal shelters or youth programs

● Helping elderly residents with yard work or snow removal

● Recycling and environmental efforts

● Supporting local charities

Service is recognized during monthly acknowledgments and at the annual Community Service Banquet. Hours are documented and can be included in resumes or school applications.

Working with Purpose

Through the Work Ethic Program, students learn the value of effort and follow-through. Students earn spending money for fulfilling important campus responsibilities.

Jobs may include:

● Kitchen help and meal service

● Waitering during community dinners

● Groundskeeping and outdoor projects

● Light maintenance or cleaning tasks

● Special event setup and support

● Caring for our chickens

Staff provide feedback and encouragement, helping students connect effort with reward.
