Kaitlynn Bishop
Residential Life Director

Kaitlynn’s connection to Valley View School began in 2010, when she was a teenager helping her grandmother, who served as Valley View’s head of housekeeping for more than three decades. She assisted during student breaks and special events such as Graduation and Parents’ Weekend, experiences that sparked a long-standing bond with the school community.

As Kaitlynn entered adulthood, she explored careers in administration, management, and sales, but always returned to Valley View to lend a hand when needed. Over time, she realized that her true calling was working with people in a meaningful and impactful way. She returned to school, earning a degree in psychology and rejoined Valley View, first part-time in the kitchen, then gradually taking on residential shifts, overnight responsibilities, and even helping teach during COVID.

Her versatility, dedication, and natural rapport with students led her to a supervisory role in the residential program. For over a year, Kaitlynn served in a hybrid position as both clinician and residential supervisor, before being appointed as Residential Director. In this role, she draws on her diverse experiences and team-oriented leadership style to support staff and guide students toward growth.

Inspired by her grandmother’s 36 years of service, Kaitlynn takes great pride in her own journey at Valley View. She is honored to carry forward a family legacy while contributing to the school’s mission of providing structure, care, and meaningful connections for its students.
