Kevin Sloan, MA
Academic Director, Athletic Director

Kevin Sloan brings decades of experience in secondary education, athletics, and school leadership to his dual role as Academic Director and Athletic Director at Valley View School. He began working in education while still in college, gaining early exposure through a range of roles including substitute teaching support, one-to-one aide work, grade-level paraprofessional assignments, and coaching at the junior varsity level.

After earning his bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and playing collegiate soccer at Worcester State University, Kevin spent more than twenty years as a high school math teacher in public schools. During that time, he held numerous leadership and extracurricular roles, including Athletic Director, Varsity Soccer and Softball Coach, Department Head, School Banking Coordinator, Class Advisor, and advisor to multiple after-school clubs.

Kevin later earned his master’s degree in Secondary Education from Worcester State University, along with his SEI Endorsement. His professional development includes extensive training in instructional design and classroom practice, including The Flipped Classroom, Google Educator Certification, Engage NY, and The Skillful Teacher.

At Valley View, Kevin oversees the day-to-day operations of the academic program, drawing on his strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear communication style. He also leads the athletic program, supporting student growth through teamwork, discipline, and healthy engagement.

Kevin lives in West Brookfield with his wife, Kristen, their twin daughters, Riley and Kenady, and their son, Liam. Outside of school, he enjoys time with his family, attending soccer matches, walking their two Golden Retrievers, Carli and Auggie, playing games, and going to the movies.
